The Rosary Congress is the impetus to unleash the Divine Mercy upon us. It was the Rosary Congress that preceded the Communist government’s  miraculous withdrawal of their restrictions on Pope John Paul II’s visit to Poland in 1979. The nine days that followed his arrival in his homeland, changed the world. We have that ability to unleash the power of Divine Mercy upon our country and subsequently upon the world through the Rosary Congress.

…………………………………………………………………………………………….

To do a very basic Rosary Congress, you need three things.

1- An Opening Mass

2- An adoration schedule for the 7 days and 7  nights of adoration and perpetual rosary. That is, each hour the Rosary will be prayed before the Blessed Sacrament (along with other prayers provided in this website).

3- A Closing Mass

For this schedule you can have as few as two people coordinating it. One person to organize the opening and closing Masses and one person to organize the adoration schedule.

For this basic Congress you will need the hourly adoration schedule and the Rosary binders.

To do a full Rosary Congress, you will need the following:

1- An Opening Mass

2- A Eucharistic Procession

3-  An hourly adoration schedule and Rosary binders for the 7 days and 7  nights of adoration and perpetual rosary. That is, each hour the Rosary will be prayed before the Blessed Sacrament by 2 or more persons.

4- A Special Mass roster click here  for the evening Masses you will add to the regular parish Mass schedule provided at your host parish.

5- A confession roster click here to schedule confessions 1 hour before each evening Mass and the last morning Mass of each day.

6- An hourly School schedule for teachers to sign up their classes for adoration hours during the day click here.

7- A Closing Mass

Note: Providing the Rosary Binder for each of the 4 sets of mysteries with the order of the prayers will ensure your adoration hours run smoothly and systematically, providing about 30 minutes of vocal prayer for all to unite and about 30 minutes of personal, silent prayer.

To do a Traveling Rosary Congress, you can follow the following schedule:

1- Each 24 hour period is held at a different parish in the Diocese.

2- Opening Mass begins at 7pm followed by 1 hour for confessions.

3- Eucharistic Procession around the inside of the  Church.

4- 24 hour Eucharistic Adoration with Rosary prayed every hour.

5- Closing Mass at 6 pm the following day (confessions may be offered for one hour before Mass).

6- Opening Mass begins at 7 pm at the next parish.

7- Continue with number 3-6 above until Friday’s closing Mass.

Some forms that will be helpful to you are the Mass checklisthourly adoration schedule for a 24 hour period, and the Rosary binders.

A special  note about filling the adoration  hours. The 2017 Rosary Congress parishes and the New Orleans Rosary Congresses that had “captains” or “shift managers” in place during the week were the most successful in ensuring things ran smoothly. To do this, recruit 24 people or couples to sign up for 6 hour periods. These people, or captains, recruit 6 groups of people to fill their 6 hours of adoration. The captains stay at the church during their hours greeting people and making sure everything stays on schedule. The reason we suggest recruiting groups (prayer groups, associations, etc) is that  we want as many people as possible to come together to pray. If one cannot recruit groups, then recruit families, couples, and individuals. For more information on organizing captains click here.
